PROGRAMS (Registration Forms)
For all programs, contact the MCSC for availability. All athletes
take a short evaluation to determine their proper Level within the
MCSC and complete the registration form. Complete the registration
form and attend an evaluation. Membership is is based on a successful
evaluation. Successful evaluations include a swimmer "level"
determination by the coaches, good behavior and demonstrating a
willingness to learn by the swimmer. Swimmers aren't bound to the
MCSC at the first practice either. If the swimmer or parent don't
want to continue with the MCSC after the 1st practice, there is no
cost to you. Availability is limited.

Fees & Responsibilites
There are no hidden fees or required
fund-raising thresholds. USA Swimming and NJ Swimming registration and most meet fees are included in the pricing. If your athlete is participating in a meet,
the parent(s) take a turn timing. Taking part in fund-raisers is
optional, though we request that all parents help out where they can.
The MCSC supports NJ Swimming and encourages parents to train as
officials. Those parents do receive a discount representing our thanks
for their contribution. We plan to host meets as another way of
supporting NJ Swimming. To do this, parental support will be needed to
provide the swimmers with well run meets.
There is a New Member Fee for athletes that were not a member of the MCSC during the previous swim year. Athletes that participate in meets need to purchase a team competition suit and swim caps.
View the registration forms for complete pricing and options.
Fees can be given to a coach at
practice or mailed to MCSC, 5 Paula Ct, Denville NJ 07834.
New Member Fee – The new member fee
is $10 per month, up to $110.
Annual Registration Fee $30, payable and non-refundable with registration.
Late Fee - Swim Fees are due by the 1st
of the month for any given swim month. Members pay for reserving
practice time, not for actual practice time. If the fee is
received after the 1st of any month, there is a $5 Late
Fee. Practice privileges are suspended for members whose payment is
over 15 days late and are not reinstated until proper payment is
made.
Early Payment Discount – Fees can be
paid quarterly for any member practicing for 3 months or more. If
payment is received by the 1st day of the month for a
given 3-month period, deduct $10 from the total quarterly fee. Swim
year fees paid in full via one payment for members practicing at
least 6 months deduct $40 from the total fee.
Base Monthly Fee – The Base monthly
fee is due by the 1st of the month of any given month a
member plans to practice. Members pay for reserving practice
time, not for actual practice time, so get to your practices and
make up missed practices. Swim once during the month and you are committed to that months fee. The "monthly" fee is not based on the number of swim days in a given month. The "monthly" fee is based on the total annual costs for the club divided by 11 (July & August count as 1 month). Members are responsible for fees for the
months they sign up, but only through the current month of the
date that they contact swimstiles@yahoo.com
requesting a change.

USS Swimming Certified Official

you put in a lot of time for our members and have expenses related to
officiating. This discount is the MCSC way of saying thanks for your
effort! The discount is $15 per month.
Clinic Fee – The MCSC runs optional
Stroke Clinics during the swim year. The current fee is $15 per
clinic practice and a maximum of $45 per week.
Level 1 pre-team Lessons are $20, pay
as you go for a 30-minute lesson. For a same day 1-hour continuous
lesson, the cost is $35.
High School Pay as You Go fees are $20
for the 1st practice day per week, $20 for the 2nd, $10
for a 3rd, $5 for a 4th and 5 or more practice days in a
given week are free! If a member practices 5 days in a given week,
the fee is $55, $20+20+10+5+0.
Fund Raising Requirement is $0. No
member is required to take part in fund raising activities.
Volunteering – There is no penalty
fee for not volunteering to help. However, if your swimmer takes part
in meets, parents are required to take a turn with the timing
assignment, if we have one. This is usually no more than 30 minutes.
If the MCSC hosts a meet, we request that everyone tries to help out.
Hosting meets is a revenue producing activity for the club and
hosting helps offset club costs and may provide for a rebate to
volunteering parents. The only "exception" or work requirement is that parents of swimmers participating in the, MCSC Co-Hosted, Short Course 13-19 Silver/Bronze meet are required to work any session their swimmers are taking part. Those helping, with swimmers involved or not, share in the income produced from the meet in the form of a rebate towards the next years swim fee, as a way to keep your annual fee lower.
Team swimwear is for members taking
part in meets. Team suits and swim caps are required.
Swim fins are required for practices
and are available for purchase through the coaches at practice.
Fee and programs subject to change without notice. More details are available on the registration forms.
