Going The Extra Mile Again!


Jamie Viotto earned "Free" Gold to lead the MCSC 11-12's at the Silver Bronze Championship Meet and then swam a mile for more "Free" Gold at the MCSC Tuesday Trial. The Tuesday Trial was held at CCM giving those swimmers that were close to Gold, one final chance to go to JO's.



MCSC 11-12's scored 37 Best Times at the Meet, 1 Gold and 19 Silver Times. Viotto earned a 3rd Place Gold in the 500 Freestyle. Matt Linz produced 6 Best Times. Alin Kenworthy and Andrew Strelec each had 5 Best Times in 6 events as did Taylor MacEwen. Catherine Barrow earned 3 Best Times in her 3 events. Julia Dottinger competed in her 1st meet and same to Best Times, including a 32.94 50 Freestyle. Gabrielle Ferrara earned 4 Best Times. Anna Baccaglini swam to 6 Silvers. Patrick Rose and Jessica Stiles have had better meets, but had great seasons and worked hard in their events.


At the Tuesday Trial, Viotto earned Gold in the 1000 Freestyle and 1650 Freestyle. Charlie Trinco became the latest NJ Junior Olympics swimmer for the MCSC with her Gold Times in the 50 & 100 Breaststrokes. Fara Cohen and Hollie Hopf made Gold in the 50 Freestyle. All athletes looked great, swimming to 20 Best Times. Congratulations to these and every swimmer on the MCSC, whether attending meets or not, you've made the MCSC a great club to be a part of.
